Julius Klein Estate

Located in the rolling hills of the Weinviertel, Austria’s largest wine-growing region, Weingut Julius Klein has cultivated its vineyards with care and conviction since 1788. For over two centuries, the Klein family has been dedicated to viticulture, with each generation and family member playing a unique role but always working toward the same shared goal:

Grüner Veltliner at the highest level.

At the heart of the estate’s philosophy is the belief that wine should be an authentic reflection of its environment.

“a harmonious balance between humans, nature, and animals is the guiding principle of how we cultivate our land”

The Wines

This Grüner Veltliner brings together fruit from three distinct sites, where loess and clay soils shape its layered, expressive character. Bright yellow with green reflections. The nose is fragrant and inviting—green apple, lemon zest, and a gentle touch of white pepper give a clear varietal identity. On the palate, it’s crisp and energetic. Juicy citrus and orchard fruit are carried by fine acidity and subtle minerality, offering a well-balanced and refreshing experience. A whisper of spice adds nuance and lift.
The finish is clean and persistent, leaving a fresh impression. Versatile and food-friendly—ideal with light fare or simply enjoyed on its own.

From the sun-drenched Steinberg vineyard, this Reserve Grüner Veltliner delivers both depth and refinement, matured in a combination of acacia and oak barrels. Brilliant yellow-green with silver highlights. The nose opens with ripe white peach, a touch of mango, and herbal undertones. On the palate, it’s full-bodied yet poised. Juicy white apple, fresh acidity, and a well-integrated texture create a balanced, lingering finish. Elegant and gastronomic, this wine is a versatile partner at the table.

This lively field blend rosé offers pure, carefree enjoyment with a touch of finesse. Fresh, juicy, and made for relaxed moments. Radiant pink in the glass. The nose bursts with notes of sour cherry, wild strawberry, red currant, and blackcurrant, lifted by herbal spice, white pepper, and a hint of bell pepper. On the palate, it’s light and playful fruit-driven with a soft floral nuance, gentle acidity, and smooth texture. Refreshing and expressive, perfect for summer evenings, casual gatherings, or simply unwinding in good company.
